  102. INSTALLATION FROM A SELF-EXTRACTING ZIP (EXE) FILE:
  103. Simply double-click on the EXE and specify the directory to install.
  104. After installation, the game will create an icon and allow you to start
  105. playing.  You can now safely delete spades32.exe to conserve disk space.

  107. INSTALLATION FROM A STANDARD ZIP FILE (OR MANUAL EXTRACT FROM EXE):
  108. Extract the Zip file to any directory and then double-click or 'Run'
  109. setup.exe (not from a DOS prompt) and the game will install itself and
  110. create a game icon.  You can now erase the original spades32.zip file.

  242. MIDI SONG FILE LICENSES FOR INCLUDED MIDI 'JUKEBOX'

  244. All MIDI sound files included with Championship Spades (including
  245. those in the MIDI add-on pack) were obtained from public domain
  246. MIDI archives on the Internet for private, non-commercial use.

  248. Some distributions of Championship Spades come with a MIDI add-on
  249. pack pre-installed for the user's convenience and personal enjoyment.
  250. The files included with this MIDI add-on pack are favorite MIDI
  251. songs to play in the jukebox to accompany Championship Spades games.
  252. These songs were recreated on keyboard by private musicians and are not
  253. direct recordings, which are strictly copyrighted.  All of these MIDIs
  254. were obtained from public domain sources on the Internet and, after
  255. consulting with "Kohn on Music Licensing" and the Harry Fox Agency,
  256. it appears that there are no copyright issues as long as these files
  257. are used for personal use and that they are not being publicly
  258. performed or sold for profit.  There is no additional cost for the
  259. MIDI add-on pack and versions without it cost the same to register.
